Abstract
The results of a study of trends in artificial intelligence application in projects implemented by banks in the US and Russia have been presented. Against the identified trends background, the issues accompanying these processes have been identified, which are typical for American banks of various scales, as well as for Russian banking practice. When considering foreign and domestic experience using specific examples, it has been emphasized that artificial intelligence technologies in banking projects are used to optimize the management of various project parameters, such as its duration, cost, risks, quality, and communication with stakeholders. The possible directions of using artificial intelligence in projects application by banks in the future and the associated difficulties have been predicted. The ways of overcoming possible difficulties in further improving managerial design procedures based on the use of artificial intelligence have been proposed and substantiated. The article will be of interest to practitioners involved in banking projects, primarily those who perform managerial roles in the project team. The material can be used in the educational process of universities for project management students, as well as for students of relevant courses focused on in-depth study of project banking.
